Celebrity Cruises is partnering with a 54 Below, a trendy cabaret, to bring Tony Award-winning performers onboard their summer and fall cruises from Cape Liberty, New Jersey to Bermuda and back again. Sailings between now and October will feature a performance on board the Celebrity Summit, which was updated in 2012 to have the same features as the Solstice Class of ships.
Performers set to appear include several Tony Award winners, Tony-nominated performers and prominent Broadway stars including:
- Faith Prince, who won for Guys & Dolls
- Donna McKechnie, who won for A Chorus Line
- Alice Ripley, who won for Next to Normal
- Andrea McArdle, the original Annie
- Anthony Rapp, who originated the role of “Mark” from Rent
- Tom Wopat, who starred in the sitcom Dukes of Hazzard
54 Below is an intimate performance space that has drawn the attention of the media and Broadway stars alike. Located underneath the famous Studio 54 club in New York City, it invites theater lovers to get intimate with performers.
