Carnival Cruise Line is bringing yet another family-friendly play space aboard its second Vista-class ship, Carnival Horizon! Drawing inspiration from the widely-acclaimed author, cartoonist and animator, Dr. Seuss, the new theme park would be open to both children and the young at heart for a ‘splash-tastic’ time.
Sailing on April 2, 2018, Carnival Horizon would feature larger-than-life images of famous characters from the popular children’s book throughout its anticipated Dr. Seuss WaterWorks Park. The theme park slides will include:
Cat in the Hat: Enjoy heart-racing twists and turns on a raft down a 450-feet slide. The red and white color pattern is drawn from ‘The Cat’s’ famous red and white hat.
Fun Things Slide: It takes thrill-seekers down 213 feet of exhilarating fun. Named after the mischievous duo ‘Thing 1’ and ‘Thing 2’, the slide features whimsical polka dots and interesting lighting.
There is also a 150-gallon water tipping bucket shaped like ‘The Cat’s’ hat and a splash zone with dozens of water spray toys. Expect to also see Dr. Seuss Bookville, SkyRide, the IMAX Theatre, Havana staterooms and Family Harbor cabins on Carnival Horizon.
