MSC Cruises has boosted its passion for world-class onboard services by partnering with widely-acclaimed chocolatier and pastry chef, Jean-Philippe Maury, to bring new culinary delights aboard its prestigious ships. As the world’s largest privately-owned cruise line, MSC Cruises has demonstrated its dedication to improving dining experiences by seeking the culinary services of one of France’s best pastry chefs and two-time gold medalist of the World Pastry Team Championship. According to the president of MSC Cruises USA, Jean-Philippe Maury is a “world pastry champion who embodies passion, elegance, innovation and excellence – the same characteristics that distinguish MSC Cruises.”
The first of Maury’s top-notch dessert offerings will be featured aboard the ultramodern MSC Divina, sailing from Miami to the Caribbean all-year-round. Original recipes served in specialty restaurants, buffets and MSC Yacht Club will receive a touch of Maury’s culinary twists. After the initial introduction of his products on MSC Divina, his menus will be rolled-out on other ships as well. Guests are assured of constant surprise and delight with new culinary experiences, in addition to the authentic Mediterranean and international culinary currently offered on all fleet.
During the second phase of the partnership, a gourmet ice cream parlor and creperie filled with Maury’s creations will premier in the indoor promenade of MSC Meraviglia where the longest LED dome at sea is proudly located. His permanent presence on MSC Meraviglia, the first of MSC Cruises’ innovative next-generation ships, will give guests more reason to enjoy the sight of chocolatiers creating dessert masterpieces in their onboard chocolate factory while tasting Maury’s specialty pastry and bakery menus. Look out for the debut and inaugural season sailing of MSC Meraviglia to the Mediterranean in June 2017.
