In less than three months, MSC Cruises will officially name their new ship, dubbing her MSC Bellissima. Staying close to home, MSC Bellissima will call the Mediterranean home until the Winter 2019 season, when she will make her way to the Emirates, and then further east to China in 2020.
As MSC Cruises tries to stay atop the cruise industry as far as technology goes, they will introduce a new feature aboard MSC Bellissima, Zoe. Zoe is a “digital cruise assistant” which will be available to all guests on board. The main functionality of this innovation is to allow passengers to have any and all questions about their trip answered in the comfort of their stateroom.
Also new aboard MSC Bellissima is a shared dining experience centered on traditionally Spanish tapas. HOLA! Tapas Bar is a concept by two star Michelin Chef Ramon Freixa. The concept involves shared plates for the party to enjoy together, and will primarily feature communal seating, with individual options and smaller tables available. In total, MSC Bellissima will feature 20 bars and 12 international dining options.
If food isn’t your thing, there will still be plenty to keep you occupied on this new ship. MSC Cruises continues to capitalize on a partnership with Cirque du Soleil to bring you Cirque du Soleil at Sea. MSC Bellissima will be the second MSC Cruises ship to feature these unique shows, and will bring with it two exclusive shows designed specifically for MSC Cruises passengers. Along with this, MSC Bellissima will feature a themed aqua park, a full-sized bowling alley, and a nearly 1,000-seat theater showing six new Broadway-style performances. For the kids, MSC Bellissima will have a 7,000+ square foot play area with a School of Magic program culminating in a ship-wide Magic Talent show.
