Oceania Cruises, a world leader in culinary expertise, recently announced its newest dining experience – La Cuisine Bourgeoise.
Created by Oceania Cruises’ Executive Culinary Director, Master Chef Jacques Pépin, La Cuisine Bourgeoise is an elegant seven-course affair where guests will be treated to fresh, seasonal ingredients, classic flavors, and will celebrate sharing a meal with friends and family. The dining experience will feature many of Chef Pépin’s favorite dishes.
La Cuisine Bourgeoise was created by famous French chef Jacques Pepin.

“Cuisine bourgeoise is rooted in tradition and is one that shaped my childhood. It is a cuisine to savor rather than admire or evaluate, it is simply happiness on a plate, and I am thrilled to share this with our guests,” said Jacques Pépin, celebrated Master Chef and Executive Culinary Director for Oceania Cruises.
Guests will enjoy wines perfectly paired with each course that complement and parallel the history of each course; while providing guests with a taste of the flavors, complexity, and nuances someone may have experienced in the mid-20th century.
“Pairing the wines took particular care and required extensive research to ensure that the wines featured with each course reflected the bright, approachable, and celebratory nature of this dining experience”, said Bob Binder, President & CEO of Oceania Cruises.
La Cuisine Bourgeoise is a delight for all the senses with the flavors and textures of the time. Each course will delight the palate, but the visual presentation – courses served with dramatic flair on shiny silver trays – will delight the eyes as well. This new dining experience with Oceania Cruises is more than a simple dinner; it is a delightful experience.
“Oceania Cruises is all about feeling and emotion, so I am especially pleased with what Jacques has created with La Cuisine Bourgeoise. Imagine being transported back to the halcyon days of the Hôtel Plaza Athenee in Paris, enjoying a celebratory meal with great friends. This is an experience you can’t have anywhere else and one that will create memories for a lifetime. It is the epitome of special,” said Bob Binder.
La Cuisine Bourgeoise is currently available aboard the Marina and Riviera. It is limited to 24 guests and reservations are required; guests are encouraged to make reservations at the Dining Reservations desk.
The Oceania Marina is one of two ships home to La Cuisine Bourgeoise.
