Dhani Jones, former NFL linebacker for the Giants, Eagles and Bengals, now joins the Royal Caribbean team as a Sports and Fitness Experience Advisor for the much-anticipated Quantum of the Seas ship that will debut in the fall of 2014. Royal Caribbean will be announcing a variety of other celebrity experience advisors in different fields in the next few months. So far the first Experience Advisor revealed was HGTV designer Genevieve Gorder.
Jones hosts a show on the Travel Channel, Dhani Tackles the Globe, where he travels the world and plays sports that Americans may not be so familiar with, including rugby and Sambo, a Russian martial art. For the Quantum of the Seas, Jones is helping to develop onboard activities, especially at Quantum‘s SeaPlex, a multi-purpose venue that will host bumper cars and roller skating.
“I’m having a phenomenal time working with Royal Caribbean as a Quantum Experience Advisor,” said Jones. “It’s giving me the opportunity to demonstrate my passion for sports, travel, fitness and adventure, and draw on my own experiences traveling the globe to contribute ideas that will bring good fitness and good fun to Quantum of the Seas.”
Jones has already meet with the guest activities team and he will continue to test out the programs and provide his feedback in the next few months. The Quantum of the Seas will be making her debut in 2014 and will sail year round from Cape Liberty, New Jersey.
