Regent Seven Seas Cruises Announces New Luxury Ship

By The Cruise Web, Inc.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises announces new ship: Seven Seas ExplorerRegent Seven Seas Cruises announced today that they are now building what they call “the most luxurious cruise ship in the era of modern cruising.” This ship will be called the Seven Seas Explorer and is expected to debut in the summer of 2016.  This marks the first new ship for this cruise line since the Seven Seas Voyager debuted in 2003.
To make good on their claim that this ship will be more luxurious than any other luxury ship currently at sea, the Seven Seas Explorer will be 12% larger than any of their previous ships, yet she will have the capacity to hold only 38 more passengers than their next largest ship, the Seven Seas Mariner, which can accommodate 700 passengers.  This means more space for each passenger on this all-suite ship. The ship will have 369 suites ranging from 300 to 1,500 square feet.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises is known for their inclusivity and top-notch service, so it’s no surprise that, along with the expanded space, Seven Seas Explorer will also maintain one of the highest staff to guest ratios.
The company is planning to use the finest touches to adorn this ship, from exotic stones and polished woods to designer furniture and glamorous lighting features. In all, Seven Seas Explorer is expected to cost $450 million and will be the most expensive luxury liner ever built.
This ship will also feature:

  • six gourmet restaurants
  • a nine-story atrium
  • a two-story Explorer Theater
  • the Canyon Ranch SpaClub
  • an eclectic and extensive art collection

The addition of this ship to the Regent Seven Seas Cruises fleet will make Regent the largest luxury line operating, and increase their passenger capacity by 40%.
