New Culinary Classes Available with Oceania Cruises

Culinary Center

There are 20 new classes being offered onboard Oceania Cruises in their Culinary Center! With an abundance of guests seeking new educational experiences, the Culinary Center is introducing these new classes as part of its Gourmet Explorer Series. A special two-day culinary program that focuses on the legacy of Chef Jacques Pepin is one of the new classes. The new classes will showcase regional cuisine from Morocco, Peru, the Pacific Northwest and more to be learned onboard. The Oceania curriculum is designed to improve upon the skills of a home cook by focusing on the essential techniques for creating many different types of sauces, grilling, preparing vegetables and other culinary skills.

“In our Culinary Center, guests cook under the instruction of faculty members who are CIA graduates and have apprenticed under a who’s who of renowned chefs,” shares Director of Culinary Enrichment, Chef Kathryn Kelly. “We continue to add new topics to keep things fresh for past guests and this year we’re proud to honor our consummate teacher, Jacques Pepin, with a special class.”  The Culinary Center is introducing its new classes as part of its Gourmet Explorer Series debuting on the Marina and Riviera in April of 2015.
