Wrapping Up a Summer of Concerts

By The Cruise Web, Inc.
Over the last few months, several of The Cruise Web’s employees had a chance to take in some live music courtesy of Carnival Cruise Lines. The “Summer Concert Series,” as it’s become known around the office, kicked off in June when Kathy Donnelly, Business Development Director for Carnival Cruise Lines, dropped off a few tickets to see the Rascal Flatts. The tickets were offered in appreciation for the long relationship between The Cruise Web and Carnival. Little did we know that they were just the first of many…
Jarrod Manna was privileged to receive tickets for the Rascal Flatts’ June show at Jiffy Lube Live in Virginia.  “The concert was absolutely amazing!  They played great songs and the band engaged the crowd which made the concert an interactive experience.  Hope they come back to town.  Thanks Carnival!”
Brandon Biss and Beth Aragon received tickets to see Lil Wayne in July. Beth, who brought her daughter along for the experience, shared the following: “Taking my daughter to see Lil Wayne was something I did because she likes him so much, but I was surprised how much I enjoyed the show. The seats were great and I enjoyed all of the performers and the weather was perfect! To hear my daughter tell me it was a night she would never forget was the perfect end to a great time!”
Steve Radosevich, Doug Wasson and Michael Sober were lucky enough to snag tickets to see Blink 182 in August. Steve had this to say about the event: “The trip was outstanding. We had  VIP passes which gave us access to a private area with a bar, bathrooms and private entrance/exit. We had a great location just off center stage and were able to see the actual show (and not just the jumbo screen overhead). I would 100% do it again!!!” Steve wasn’t the only one that had a great time as Michael shared the following: “I went to Blink 182 and got to meet the band. I have to say that as someone that grew up in the 90’s and was a fan of theirs since I was little, the expectations were definitely running high, but the show and the band didn’t disappoint in the least. They rocked the place and when Travis Barker was doing his upside down drum solo, I was very much impressed. Thanks for the great experience!”
Sherry Jefferson was able to attend the Journey concert in September. Though Hurricane Irene pushed the date back, Sherry said she had a wonderful time and shared the following: “We had great VIP seating in a private box. The show was great – lots of energy.  The new lead singer sounded just like the original although he probably wasn’t even born when the band was first popular.”

The Cruise Web would like to extend a special ‘thank you’ to Carnival Cruise Lines and Kathy Donnelly for providing the concert tickets. All concert attendees had a blast and were grateful for the chance to experience some wonderful performances.
