Things to Do on a South America Cruise with Holland America Line

From the hot countries near the equator to Ushuaia, the closest town to Antarctica, South America offers a myriad of activities and landscapes. On a Holland America cruise to South America you can watch a samba dance show in Brazil, taste wine in Chile and explore the Incan city of Machu Picchu in Peru.

• Casablanca Valley Winery (Valparaiso, Chile)
  Get a taste of Chile’s wine region and industry by visiting the Casablanca Valley. Here you will visit the Vinedos Veramonte Winery and enjoy a tour and wine tasting. Then you’ll visit another winery, Estancia El Cuadro, where you’ll not only get to drink but also enjoy a performance of the region’s folk music with a buffet lunch.
   

• National Park and Beagle Channel (Ushuaia, Argentina)
  At the tip of South America you’ll find Ushuaia and the Tierra del Fuego National Park. This park is full of local flora and fauna, along with Roca Lake and Laptatia River. • A Day in Punta del Este (Montevideo, Uruguay)
  Visit this famed seaside resort town of Punta del Este, where people from all over South America come to vacation. Here you will find rugby and tennis tournaments, car races and lots of other fun diversions. But you’ll be most enamored with the beaches like Playa Mansa and Playa Brava.
