Now all of the three major contemporary cruise lines, Carnival Cruise Lines, Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean International, offer some form of an alcoholic drink package. These packages allow cruisers to enjoy an alcoholic beverage onboard without breaking the bank. It also allows cruisers to enjoy their vacation just a little more. Royal Caribbean International’s new brand campaign is targeting New York-area commuters, both above and below ground, by taking over the 42nd Street line in Manhattan this February. As commuters are transported between Times Square and Grand Central Station, the award-winning cruise line is giving them a taste of the Royal experience with fully-branded shuttle cars supporting the cruise line’s new messaging. First rolled out in December 2011, the campaign is focused on reawakening consumers to the sights and sounds of the sea by communicating the decree, “The Sea is Calling. Answer it Royally.”

This November, Royal Caribbean International will celebrate its return to New Orleans, La., in a big way. The eight-time “Best Cruise Line Overall” award winner* has teamed with Republic Nashville to treat invited guests to a special, live performance by one of country music’s most beloved artists, Martina McBride. Following the debut of her new album, ELEVEN, which hit stores on Oct. 11, 2011, the four-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year is scheduled to perform aboard Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas, the largest and most innovative cruise ship ever to homeport in New Orleans, on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011. The Martina concert for invited guests will take place in Voyager of the Seas’ Lyric Theatre before the ship departs on its Western Caribbean Thanksgiving cruise.
