Norwegian Cruise Lines introduced another innovative feature for their next ship, the Norwegian Breakaway. This time the announcement was very colorful… literally. The new ship will feature signature hull artwork by Peter Max, one of America’s most acclaimed living artists, who is renowned and respected across the US for his bright and bold paintings.
Norwegian just announced a big line up of shows and entertainment for the Norwegian Breakaway, which is set to sail from New York in May of 2013. In the main theater the TONY Nominated Broadway hit “Rock of Ages” will take center stage. This show, which was recently turned into a blockbuster summer movie starring Tom Cruise, is a love story set to the backdrop of 1980s rock ‘n’ roll.
Norwegian Cruise Lines is constructing an extensive water park to be featured on the Norwegian Breakaway. This water park will include five giant slides, a designated kids play area, two pools, four hot tubs and a bar and grill. The water park is in addition to a three-story sports complex that will feature a ropes course, full basketball court and miniature golf course.
