    This year’s Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks® in New York is sure to be truly epic. Norwegian Cruise Line and Macy’s today announced that Norwegian Cruise Line’s new ship, Norwegian Epic, will be the host venue for the 34th Annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks event taking place on Sunday, July 4, 2010. The event includes a national, one-hour, live entertainment broadcast on NBC-TV beginning at 9 p.m. and takes place on board Norwegian Epic where invited guests will have a front row view of the fireworks display.

  • Norwegian Epic To Set Sail With Three "Legends In Concert"

    Get ready for some rock and roll! Norwegian Cruise Line announced that the first three “legends” to perform as part of the Legends in Concert show on Norwegian Epic will be three of the world’s best-known entertainers – Madonna, Elvis and Tina Turner. A staple on the Las Vegas’ center strip for over 25 years, Legends in Concert is known as the pioneer of live tribute shows and has assembled the greatest collection of live tribute artists and celebrity look-alikes in show business.
    “Where else outside Las Vegas could you see three of the world’s top entertainment legends – Madonna, Elvis and Tina Turner- all on stage together?” said Kevin Sheehan, Norwegian Cruise Line’s chief executive officer. “Norwegian Epic is taking cruise ship entertainment to an entirely new level and these tribute artists appeal to music fans of all ages, making this a must-see show for our guests.”

  • Seven Seas Voyager Recognized Again for Best Food and Dining Room Service

    The all-suite, all-balcony Seven Seas Voyager of Regent Seven Seas Cruises has been voted the cruise ship with the best food and dining room service by members of the prestigious World Ocean & Cruise Liner Society for the second year in a row.
    According to the society, when choosing a cruise, “the category of food is often at the top of everyone’s list of importance.” When voting, their members considered food taste, quality and presentation.

  • "Deadliest Catch" Captain to Sail on Holland America Line

    Captain Keith Colburn of Discovery Channel’s Emmy-nominated “Deadliest Catch” series is scheduled to sail as part of the guest-enrichment program on the June 18, 2010, Alaskan Explorer Voyage aboard Holland America Line’s ms Zaandam.
    The seven-day cruise sails round-trip from Seattle, and calls at Glacier Bay, Juneau, Sitka and Ketchikan, Alaska, and Victoria, B.C., Canada.
    During his cruise, Colburn will share his expertise on how to select, crack and clean fresh crab, while Holland America Line’s executive chef demonstrates different ways to prepare and serve this delectable Alaska seafood favorite. Colburn is one of more than 65 celebrated chefs and wine experts scheduled to sail in 2010 and share their expertise in the line’s Culinary Arts Center, presented by Food & Wine magazine.

  • Seabourn Announces New Ship for 2011

    The Yachts of Seabourn has announced that Seabourn Quest will be the name given to its newest vessel. Poised to become the third of three new ultra-luxury yachts launched by the award-winning, small-ship cruise line in as many years, Seabourn Quest will debut in June 2011.
    Seabourn Quest will be the third iteration of the sleek and widely admired design that first appeared on Seabourn Odyssey in June 2009. Indeed, Odyssey has been hailed as a “game-changer for the luxury segment.” The second sister ship, Seabourn Sojourn, will debut next June in Greenwich, England, and is already selling strongly for its maiden year. Together, the three new vessels represent a capacity increase of over 200 percent for the line in a three-year period – underlining the company’s confidence in a burgeoning demand for top-shelf cruising options in the leisure travel market.
