My personal itinerary in New York City did include a show, but just as I prefer to do when on a cruise vacation, I enjoyed mixing in a variety of different activities. However, unlike the high cost and sometimes challenging access of many activities in the Big Apple, cruising includes a myriad of activities for little or no extra cost that are right there on your own floating city!

Although I was just a young boy at the time, the most exciting and memorable sporting victory I have ever witnessed has to be the 1980 “Miracle on Ice”. This was the year that a young US men’s hockey team, made up of amateur and college players, toppled the “unbeatable” Soviet Union hockey power house at the Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York. USA then went on to beat Finland, to claim the gold medal.
Looking back to the build-up of that 1980 game, I can remember feeling how the Soviets were something akin to unstoppable robots. They were “perfect” in their execution, “never” made mistakes, and I almost thought of them as super-human, or maybe even non-human. -
This January, a lucky group of Cruise Web employees were invited to experience MSC Cruise’s newest addition to the Caribbean, the MSC Poesia. The group, led by President Frans Hansen, headed to Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for an evening of entertainment, a unique dining experience, and a night of dancing and cocktails to gain valuable first-hand experience aboard the new ship. Joining Frans were Group Development Manager Rosalind Smith, Sales Manager Mike Harris, Client Service Representative Fiona Kapadia, and Cruise Consultants Jarren Matthews, Said Durrah and Mark Garza.
