  • Celebrate Spring with a River Cruise to Floriade

    What is the key sign of spring?
    Is it the spike in temperatures? Having more hours of sunlight? The chirping of blue birds? Nope. The true sign that spring is here is the blooming of flowers like the cherry blossoms, the tulips and the daffodils.
    And this year, 2012, is a special year for flowers. Floriade, the ultimate flower festival, which only happens once every 10 years, is going on right now. The show covers 163 acres with 1.8 million bulb flowers, 5,000 rose bushes and 3,000 trees.

  • Avalon Waterways Unveils Two New Ships

    Cruising with Avalon Waterways is about to get even more “suite.” The small-ship cruise company will unveil two more ships – the Avalon Expression and Avalon Artistry II to join three other “Suite Ships.” A “Suite Ship” boasts two full decks of suites – 200-square foot Panorama Suites (293 total) and 300-square foot Royal Suites (10 total). That’s right, all cabins in these ships will be suites – bringing the fleet’s “Suite Ship” total to five.

  • Crystal Cruises Goes All Inclusive

    Crystal Cruises has now officially begun its transition to including adult beverages into the price of its cruises. The effort launched on the Crystal Symphony’s Miami to Lisbon Trans-Atlantic cruise that embarked March 19. Crystal’s Serenity will follow suit with her spring Trans-Atlantic sailing on May 8.
