  • A Fond Farewell to Our Old Office

    On Tuesday, October 25th – just two days prior to the big move – The Cruise Web threw one last workday celebration in its now ex-office in Landover, MD. It was decided that the only appropriate send-off would be a potluck luncheon featuring the tastiest dishes that The Cruise Web employees could whip up. The potluck featured all of the fan favorites – Jen’s pulled pork, Mike’s coleslaw and Dunkin’ Donuts’ donuts – along with a few delicious new surprises like Rosalind’s quinoa salad, Yossi’s Israeli couscous and Ed’s Italian deviled eggs.

  • The Cruise Web's New Office

    On October 27, 2011, The Cruise Web officially moved to its new office space at 3901 Calverton Boulevard in Calverton, MD. The plan for the new office had been in the works for a while and only became more of a necessity as the company continued to grow. From the moment the first plans were revealed, the company was full of anticipation. And this anticipation was only fueled further with each new detail of the new office.

  • Norwegian Gem to Feature Nickelodeon Family Programming in 2012

    Norwegian Cruise Line and Nickelodeon today announced the expansion of their exclusive partnership, extending the popular family entertainment and programming from two to three ships with the addition of Norwegian Gem, beginning in February 2012. Nickelodeon-themed family events, shows and activities were first introduced in April 2010 on Norwegian Jewel and in July 2010 on Norwegian Epic.

  • Holland America Line Returns to the Land Down Under and South Pacific

  • Cunard Line Says 'I Do' to Weddings at Sea

    Cunard Line, one of the oldest names in passenger shipping operating the youngest fleet at sea, will offer its guests the opportunity to be married on board for the first time in its 171-year history. Beginning Spring 2012, a luxury cruise aboard Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth will offer a selection of wedding packages, commencing after the World Voyages have been completed. The Weddings programme will go on sale in December 2011, with expanded details available soon.

  • Finding Adventure

    A few weeks ago I heard a pod cast of a short story written by Neil Gaiman, featured on the This American Life’s radio program. The segment was all about adventure and how adventure has different meanings to different people. For Gaiman’s family, adventure meant a harrowing experience getting the daily mail. For others, adventure is defined by scaling the perils of Mt. Everest. An adventure of whatever sort is truly seen in the eye of the beholder.
