Oceania Cruises Reveals OceaniaNEXT Re-inspiration Program

Oceania Cruises recently announced its new OceaniaNEXT initiative, which will see four ships reimagined with enhancements that will elevate every component of the guest experience. A $100 million re-inspiration of Oceania’s 684-guest ships, Regatta, Insignia, Sirena and Nautica, will result in four better-than-new-ships. When the re-inspiration is finished, each ship will feature 342 brand new designer suites and staterooms, as well as stunning new décor in the restaurants, bars and lounges – all inspired by Oceania’s 450 ports of call. Insignia will debut in December 2018, then Sirena in May 2019, followed by Regatta in September 2019 and Nautica in June 2020.
“OceaniaNEXT will be the most extensive and comprehensive suite of product and guest service enhancements that we have ever undertaken,” said Bob Binder, President and CEO of Oceania Cruises. “Our Regatta-Class ships are like second homes to our loyal guests and travel partners. They don’t build ships like these anymore, which is why this re-inspiration project is such an important milestone in our company’s 15-year history. We are maintaining the intimate surroundings and personal attention that our guests love, while at the same time setting a new standard of style and elegance for small ship cruising. We have opened a new chapter, innovating in every way as we look to the future and the way our guests want to travel. We can’t wait for our ‘new’ ships to launch.”

Décor
Regatta, Insignia, Nautica, and Sirena will be reimagined with two of Oceania’s acclaimed ships in mind: Marina and Riviera. Warm browns and jewel-toned greens and blues welcome guests to a space that is inviting and comfortable while cool, crisp whites project the feeling of being in an upscale hotel. The furniture is classic while still being modern, and there is a simple elegance to the décor. There are little touches of sparkle, like the grand staircase with intricate railings and balustrades inset with crystal accents. All the features blend together to create a space that is elegant and classic while also being warm and inviting.
Suites and Staterooms
A cruise with Oceania is meant to be your home away from home and the brand-new, luxurious staterooms and suites will feel as comfortable as your home. They have been stripped down to the basics and redesigned from the ground up. The new staterooms will be lighter, brighter and more spacious. Every part of the stateroom has been modernized with custom furnishings, exotic stone and polished wood finishes, and designer accessories. Important convenience and entertainment touches have been added as well, with USB ports in every stateroom, as well as state-of-the-art TVs that feature movies on-demand in multiple languages, live stations, itinerary information and weather updates.
Bathrooms
In addition to the new luxurious staterooms, the bathrooms will receive an upgrade as well. Every bathroom will have designer features, perfect lighting, elegant vanities and luxurious glass showers. Guests staying in a Penthouse, Vista or Owner’s Suite will enjoy a brand new space complete with Carrara marble, polished granite and sleek onyx.
The Oceania Cruises OceaniaNEXT initiative will transform the four 684-guest ships for sophisticated and modern cruising at its finest. The reimagined spaces will be warm and welcoming, while being sleek, and travelers will feel both at home and as though they are in a luxury hotel. The cuisine, along with the entertainment and service, will still be held to Oceania’s high standards. When you cruise with Oceania, you’ll truly have the sophisticated, elegant and relaxing cruise you’ve been wanting.
