The Cruise Web Attends the D.C. Travel Show

Rick Steves at the DC Travel & Adventure ShowPat Conroy, author of The Prince of Tides,  is quoted as saying, “once you have traveled, the voyage never ends… The mind can never break off from the journey.” This quote explains why many of you continue to explore the world, one trip at a time. It also explains why many from The Cruise Web team attended the Washington D.C. Travel & Adventure Show in February.
It was a chance to learn about the latest trends in travel and listen to travel entertainers like Rick Steves and Samantha Brown pontificate on their experiences traveling through Europe and South America, among other interesting destinations.
“Everyone was informative and it was just a very fun atmosphere. Well worth the experience,” Cruise Consultant Rashell O. said.
Aside from speakers and booths, there were also dance performances from cultures around the globe, a water tank for scuba lessons and an area to ride on Segways. Cruise Consultant Gloria H. had a fun time on the Segways. “It was so much fun and so easy. By the end of my 15 minutes of glory, I was popping wheelies on that thing.”
Cruise Consultants Jen C. and Kevin W. were manning a booth at the expo to talk to interested travelers about cruising and the many benefits of a cruise, including the ability to cruise from a local port, like the port of Baltimore for those living in the Mid-Atlantic.
