Margarita Recipe

By The Cruise Web, Inc.

Nothing says Cinco de Mayo like a margarita. Ideally we’d love to be sipping one on the pool deck of a cruise ship heading toward the Mexican Riviera, but we’ll have to get by day dreaming this Cinco de Mayo. So for those of you stuck on land here is a recipe for a classic margarita, just think of the ocean breeze and some Acapulco cliff divers as you prepare it.

 Margarita (1 Serving)

  • 1.5 oz. of tequila
  • 2 oz. of lime juice (either fresh squeezed or from concentrate)
  • 1 oz. of Triple sec
  • ice
  • salt to rim the glass

  • Pour all liquids over the ice and stir.

It’s that simple. So how are you celebrating Cinco de Mayo?

Have cruised a few times with Cunard. Just returned from the Med. after celebrating my Diamond Wedding Anniversary on Queen Elizabeth. Our evening venue before late dinner, was a drink at the Midships Bar where I would have my two Margaritas. I’ve never tasted a better one and I would love their recipe. Can anyone help please?

Hi Wollij, Cunard offers a few different margaritas, but perhaps it was one of the following varieties:

ORIGINAL MARGARITA: Tequila Sauza Gold and Triple Sec shaken with Fresh Lime and Lemon Juices with Sour Mix. Served in a
Salt rimmed glass.

AZUL MARGARITA EXPERIENCE: Azul Plata Tequila, Grand Marnier and Fresh Lemon and Lime Juice

MOLECULAR MARGARITA: A Premium Margarita with Fresh Lime Juice and Añejo Patrón Tequila, embellished with a Grand Marnier, Cointreau and Fresh Orange Infused Foam

MANGO MARGARITA: Tequila Sauza Gold and Grand Marnier shaken with Fresh Lime, Sour Mix and Mango Purée. Served in a Sugar rimmed glass.
