• Urnes Stave Church is the oldest preserved worship place in Norway and it has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The old church was constructed at around the year 1070. It is a good place to visit for architecture enthusiasts.
   
• Sogn Folk museum is an open air folk museum situated in between Kaupanger and Sogndal. It is a good place to learn about the history of the region and the country as well. It has more than 30 buildings that are documented in both English and Norwegian.
   
• Flåmsbana Railway is an engineering wonder that is known to be the steepest railway in the world that runs without a rack or cable wheels. It runs the whole year round and makes as many as 10 stops daily in summer. Photographers can take good photos along the way.
   
• People into religion and history should make a point to visit Dale Kyrkje. The medieval parish church is comprised of stone and was built around 1250. The church has several elements that are evident in its design that reflect the history of the church and aspects of religion.
