Ocho Rios, Jamaica Cruise Port
Let’s get this out of the way – Ocho Rios does not have eight rivers, as its name might suggest. It does, however, have lots of waterfalls, the most famous of which is Dunn’s River Falls. Located on the northern end of Jamaica, Ocho Rios offers cruisers beautiful beaches and lush scenery. You may know this town from the very first James Bond film, Dr. No, where it was home to one of the villains. Featured below are some of our favorite things to do when cruising to Ocho Rios, Jamaica:
A visit to Ocho Rios isn’t complete without ascending Dunn’s River Falls. The water flows over land that forms a natural staircase, which makes climbing to the top a breeze.
Take a ride in a Jamaican bobsled at Mystic Mountain. This amusement park offers zip lining through the rainforest, along with the bobsled ride.
Take a tour of the Wassi Art factory where artists craft terra-cotta pottery into beautiful finery. You can tour the factory and see how they make their products. Plus, if the mood strikes you, you can purchase your own piece of art.
Take a load off at Turtle Beach. This beautiful spot is on the bay and offers a great place to swim, sun bathe or go jet skiing.
