Gdansk, Poland Cruise Port

Along the coast of the Baltic lies Gdansk, one of Poland’s largest cities. This city has been witness to some incredible history. During World War II this city was completely destroyed. However, if you visit Gdansk now, you wouldn’t know it because the city was reconstructed brick by brick back to its pre-war beauty. These ornate buildings really are a sight to behold and make for a marvelous backdrop. Gdansk was also the birthplace of the Solidarity movement led by Lech Walesa, where the people rose up against the communist government and held peaceful democratic elections. Continue below for sample activities and attractions for the cruise port of Gdansk, Poland:

  • Learn about the amazing movement of Solidarity that has led to a peaceful and prosperous Poland at The Roads to Freedom Exhibition at the shipyard.
