Sannai-Maruyama Ruins is an archaeological site discovered in the early 1990s during an excavation project. It represents the significant remains of the prehistoric life once lived in Northern Japan by the people of Jomon 5000 years ago. Some of the ruins have been reconstructed based on knowledge of the architectural structure that existed back then. Walk through the burial pits, houses, tower and great hall as you encounter some large pit-dwellings, potteries, clay figures, earthenware and stone artifacts.
