    I stayed at the Loews Miami Beach hotel which was like 15 minutes from the port. It was FABU!

    Biscayne Bay is a great area to stay ,especially if just for a nite or two. There is a shopping area and the famous Bongo's Cuban Restaurant owned by Gloria and Emilio Estafan (always rocking). There's also a tour boat there that takes you on a tour of many Movie stars homes. It makes for a nice afternoon/evening.

    I don't remember specific hotel names, but there are also lots of small cool hip swanky hotels along the South Beach strip, if you like to people watch and window shop.

    I agree with @Anchor77 regarding Loews Maimi Beach and they have just completed a major renovation. Gorgeous!!!
