We love cruising no matter the time of day, but something special happens when the sun goes down - dazzling stars fill the sky and the cruise Nightlife kicks into gear. This month's Nightlife photo highlight comes from Danielle who captured the bartenders whipping up some colorful mixed drinks in the Norwegian EPIC's Ice Bar.

Manager's Insight
Nightlife - Make Your Own Memories!
My name is Mike Harris, I'm a Sales Manager at The Cruise Web and I'll be presenting this month's Manager's Insight. As a new father, writing our Manager's Insight about "Nightlife" seems a little foreign to me. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not that far removed from the college days filled with late nights in local haunts. But for the past 8 months, my idea of "nightlife" has been more of a "shut the door quietly or you'll wake up the baby" kind of atmosphere (that's usually followed by a loving "And if you wake her up, you're sleeping outside" reminder from my wife).
But sometimes as I'm doing the usual 8pm tiptoeing, I can't help but think about how much life has changed for me, and how the idea of "nightlife" has changed in the past few years for my wife, Amy, and I. I also can't help but think back on how much cruising has been a part of our lives so far (insert reminiscent dream sequence here).
I can remember our first cruise together, I asked her to marry me. We celebrated at Señor Frogs in Cozumel, Mexico that day and then partied the night away at a New Year's celebration onboard later that evening (even though it was only mid-December).
After the wedding, I remember our unfortunate luck of being the newest of the newlyweds on our honeymoon cruise. That title gained us a spot on the big stage as participants in the Newlywed Game on our Mediterranean cruise. That video will never see the light of day.  Read More»

There are many different backgrounds that make up the staff of The Cruise Web. This month, we'd like to introduce The Cruise Web's first and only engineer turned Cruise Consultant. After graduating from Widener University in Chester, PA with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Steve found himself, as many new college grads, looking for a job. "People always told me that I had the personality for sales. I love to travel, so this seemed like a natural fit," says Steve about his decision to join The Cruise Web.
Steve initially started in another position at The Cruise Web, helping Cruise Consultants reach their clients faster. "After seeing the environment on the floor, I thought that this was a company where I could see myself being successful and thriving." And he was right - Steve earned his first promotion after just a year at the job. "I was able to take a lot of the things that I was already good at with my engineering background and apply it to being a good Cruise Consultant. For example, attention to detail, being creative and building on existing things. Basically I like to find out what has worked for my clients in the past, and make sure that I focus on improving that experience for their cruise. I don't have to reinvent anything."
Ask any of Steve's clients or coworkers and they'll tell you how devoted he is to both his clients and family. His next cruise is with his three-year-old daughter, Vanessa. Happy sailing, Steve!

Nightlife at Sea
By The Cruise Web, Inc.
I've often felt that the most bittersweet hour on any cruise vacation begins once the ship pulls away from port and starts sailing towards its next destination. You brood over all the memories and magic of the day and wish you could have spent just a little more... time. You had a glimpse of paradise, and now it's gone.
It's amazing, though, because the moment you step away from that railing, and stop staring at that rapidly shrinking island, it's like you find yourself suddenly transported onto the nexus of Las Vegas, Broadway, South Beach, and your local 'Good Times' bar, all rolled into one!
