Five Fantastic Features Announced for Quantum of the Seas

The ship promises staterooms with roughly 9 percent more space and accommodations to please big families. What really takes the cake are the fun and exciting activities that this new ship will facilitate. Here are our top five features on Quantum of the Seas.

  • North Star – This is like an arm of the ship transporting passengers over the edge of the ship for 360-degree views of the ocean and surrounding locales. The capsule is lined with windows and takes up to 13 passengers 300 feet above the water. A trip in the North Star is free, but cruisers can pay for a private ride or to go at exclusive times like sunrise and sunset. [Read more →]

Cruise Ship Weddings Available at Sea

Now, with Royal Caribbean, couples can actually get married while sailing in international waters. The Commonwealth of the Bahamas recently passed a Marriage Act that will allow marriages that occur in international waters to be recognized by the Bahamas.

To celebrate this new feature available on all Royal Caribbean International ships, the line is offering couples all the wonderful features of a wedding at sea for FREE,  if they book 12 or more staterooms on a 2013 itinerary that sails for five nights or longer. [Read more →]

Royal Caribbean Goes Underground to Bring the Royal Experience to Commuters

Royal Caribbean International’s new brand campaign is targeting New York-area commuters, both above and below ground, by taking over the 42nd Street line in Manhattan this February. As commuters are transported between Times Square and Grand Central Station, the award-winning cruise line is giving them a taste of the Royal experience with fully-branded shuttle cars supporting the cruise line’s new messaging. First rolled out in December 2011, the campaign is focused on reawakening consumers to the sights and sounds of the sea by communicating the decree, “The Sea is Calling. Answer it Royally.”

Royal Caribbean Celebrates Return to New Orleans with Martina McBride

This November, Royal Caribbean International will celebrate its return to New Orleans, La., in a big way. The eight-time “Best Cruise Line Overall” award winner* has teamed with Republic Nashville to treat invited guests to a special, live performance by one of country music’s most beloved artists, Martina McBride. Following the debut of her new album, ELEVEN, which hit stores on Oct. 11, 2011, the four-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year is scheduled to perform aboard Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas, the largest and most innovative cruise ship ever to homeport in New Orleans, on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011.
