The Cruise Web Rings in the Holiday Season

By: The Cruise Web, Inc.

On December 8, 2010, The Cruise Web rang in the holiday season with its annual Holiday Cocktail Party. The party, held at Hudson Restaurant and Lounge in Washington, DC, proved to be a huge success as co-workers shook off their work titles and spent the evening relaxing and socializing as friends.

Frans Hansen, President of The Cruise Web, kicked the evening off by toasting the employees, thanking everyone for their hard work and dedication all year long. It was a fitting tribute to the heart and soul of The Cruise Web.

The relaxed and upbeat environment of the Holiday party provided the perfect way to unwind after a hard day of work. While the fantastic food and live music made the night enjoyable, it was the great company that made it one to remember!

Love Is in the Air

On October 13, 2010, The Cruise Web office was overcome by the excited shrills of ladies everywhere as employees celebrated the engagement announcement of Rabia Tallim, Human Resources Coordinator and Administrative Assistant.

Rabia birthgagementRabia and her fiancé Terence have been dating for quite some time and it was just a matter of waiting for the perfect moment, which turned out to be the day before her birthday! The Cruise Web had a small surprise celebration in honor of Rabia’s engagement and birthday, which we respectfully titled a “birthgagement.”

Rabia engagementThe proposal was magical and perfectly described the couple: comfortable and intimate. Terence planned out a surprise dinner which included hiding the ring with the dessert. A wedding location has not yet been set, but the couple plans on either having it in Upstate New York or Hawaii, where their families are located.

The Cruise Web is happy to hear about the engagement and wishes both Rabia and her new fiancé all the best in their new lives together.

The Cruise Web Assistant Sales Manager Attends Nationals Home Opener

The Cruise Web Assistant Sales Manager Arthur B. attended the opening day game of the Washington Nationals against the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday, April 5.

Though Arthur prefers soccer to baseball, he attended the game with his good friend Arthur and the Regional Manager for Royal Caribbean, Bob R.  Although they arrived a little late, Arthur and his friend made it just in time to see President Barack Obama throw out the ceremonial first pitch of the game.

Arthur, his friend, and Bob settled in to watch the Nationals unfortunately lose their home-opener, but Arthur didn’t mind because “the weather was nice and the atmosphere was fun, and it was cool seeing all the Secret Service around due to the President.”

Arthur and The Cruise Web are greatly appreciative of Royal Caribbean for providing the opportunity to be part of a unique and fun experience.
