Regent Seven Seas Cruises Unveils 2013 Mediterranean, Baltic & Alaska Cruises

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has begun accepting reservations for cruises from April 2013 to December 2013. The ultra-luxury line’s Summer Collection features more than 50 itineraries in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and Alaska, plus fall cruises to New England and Canada and an Amazon River itinerary.

Highlights include new ports of call, extended voyages of up to 43-nights, two-for-one fares and bonus savings of up to $13,000 per suite and Business Class air for just $999 each way when booked by June 30, 2012. Regent Seven Seas’ Tropical Escapes Feature Enriching Itineraries

The ultra-luxury line’s Prime 7 steakhouse participated in the “Blue Moon Burger Bash;” proceeds from the sold-out event benefit the Food Bank For New York and Share Our Strength®.

Seven Seas Voyager Recognized Again for Best Food and Dining Room Service

Regent Seven Seas DessertThe all-suite, all-balcony Seven Seas Voyager of Regent Seven Seas Cruises has been voted the cruise ship with the best food and dining room service by members of the prestigious World Ocean & Cruise Liner Society for the second year in a row.

According to the society, when choosing a cruise, “the category of food is often at the top of everyone’s list of importance.” When voting, their members considered food taste, quality and presentation.

Equally important is dining room service. Ships were considered based on the following six criteria (1) ample staff to ensure that there are no long delays in serving, (2) promptness in responding to special requests, (3) ability of Regent Seven Seas Outdoor Diningthe staff to communicate and explain the menu, (4) the staff’s ability to remember guest preferences, (5) promptness in serving, replacing utensils as needed, and (6) general attitude and friendliness of the staff. Celebrated PBS Personalities Headline Unique Public Television at Sea Voyage.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises (RSSC) and Artful Travelers, a specialty travel and entertainment firm, are inviting guests to join celebrated stars of television’s Public Broadcasting System (PBS) aboard a cruise featuring insightful discussion of politics, current events and world affairs. Regent’s Public Television at Sea cruise, part of its Spotlight Series enrichment program, departs Friday, December 4, aboard the 700-guest all-suite, all-balcony Seven Seas Voyager.

Extraordinary public broadcasting personalities will speak on a variety of topics ranging from politics to world affairs during the 14-night sailing from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil through the waters of Latin America and the Caribbean to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Gwen Ifill, the moderator and managing editor of PBS’ acclaimed political program Washington Week and a senior correspondent for The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, brings her insight and experience to the stage as she discusses current events, her career in the media and her acclaimed new book The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama.

David Fanning, executive producer and founder of FRONTLINE, will discuss the hard-hitting and in-depth reporting featured on America’s longest-running investigative documentary series on television. Since debuting in 1983, FRONTLINE has won all of the major awards for broadcast journalism, including 39 Emmys.

Charlie Cook, leading political analyst and the publisher of The Cook Political Report, will provide front-line information and analysis on the American political landscape.

Regent’s PTVatSea cruise is offered in partnership with locally based PBS stations and Artful Travelers, which pairs the best of art, culture, entertainment and travel to create extraordinary experiences.
