Video Guide: Cruising to Alaska

By The Cruise Web, Inc.
Have you ever considered a cruise to Alaska? Each year from May through September several ships from all different cruise lines offer exciting itineraries in the 49th state. Cruises are such a popular way to see Alaska because they give travelers a great view and perspective on the country’s largest state and make getting around easy. Alaska is so large and so sparsely populated that travel via car takes a long time and there are few airports to fly into. Cruising really is the best way to see Alaska and the magnificent wildlife and glaciers that line its coast.
To get a better idea of what’s included in a cruise to Alaska, The Cruise Web commissioned Barry Vaudrin, the cruise journalist, to share his experiences on a Holland America Alaska cruise. Follow his cruise experiences in the following four videos.
Video #1: Leaving through the Port of Seattle and an overview of the ship, Holland America’s ms Oosterdam.

Video #2: Barry goes on a whale watching excursion and visits the Mendenhall Glacier. He also sits down to a crab feast on an excursion in Ketchikan.

Video #3: Barry visits Sitka where he gets some face time with a bald eagle.

Video #4: Barry tells tales of the delicious food aboard his cruise and interviews the ship’s captain.
