Alaska Cruise: In Pictures

Our resident videographer Barry Vaudrin recently returned from a 7-night cruise from Seattle to Alaska and back on the ms Oosterdam, a Holland America Line ship. While Barry is working to compile all the video he took of the cruise and excursions, he has provided us with a sampling of pictures that chronicle his adventure. Starting with his tour of Seattle.

Before embarking I took a tour of Seattle. The Space Needle in Seattle has a different color painted on the top, an orange color, which is supposedly the original color. Apparently the color will soon be changed because many don’t like the orange Space Needle color.

The Cruise Web Goes to the Ballpark

The Cruise Web team poses with Louie, the Bowie Baysox's mascotCruise Web employees grabbed their mitts and caps on August 23 for a company trip to the Bowie Baysox game at Prince George’s Stadium.  The Baysox are a class-AA affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles major league baseball team.  The outing was even sweeter, or should I say more savory, for The Cruise Web employees because it began with an all-you-can-eat barbecue social, which included pulled pork, burgers, dogs, and some delicious sides like pasta salad. Pride of America Scheduled for Major Update

Pride of America courtesy of Norwegian Cruise LinesNorwegian Cruise Line is investing more than $30 million to enhance and update their ship, the Pride of America. The Pride of America is the only cruise ship of its size sailing in Hawaii that sails  under the U.S. flag. The Carnival ImaginationThe Cruise Web recently sponsored a trip for their employees to get away  with a 3-day cruise to Nassau on the Carnival Imagination.  The group of 16 was led by sales director and expert cruiser, Heather Wasson. While onboard, the team enjoyed all the ship had to offer from the comedy shows to betting big in the casino to the relaxing environment of the spa.
