Finding Adventure
A few weeks ago I heard a podcast of a short story written by Neil Gaiman, featured on the This American Life’s radio program. The segment was all about adventure and how adventure has different meanings to different people. For Gaiman’s family, adventure meant a harrowing experience getting the daily mail. For others, adventure is defined by scaling the perils of Mt. Everest. An adventure of whatever sort is truly seen in the eye of the beholder. [Read more →]

Inspiration for Adventure
A compilation by The Cruise Web employees.
One of the best aspects of cruising is that you’ll never run out of opportunities to do something new and adventurous (unless you’ve done it all – in which case, stop bragging). Aim to do something that makes your friends back home jealous! Need inspiration? Take a walk on the wild side and explore our favorite adventures!

“I have had many wonderful adventures while cruising. Some of my top memories include snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, caving with glowworms in Dunedin, New Zealand, zip lining in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and skydiving in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Ice-skating in the middle of the Caribbean is always a fun adventure too!” [Read more →]

Wrapping Up a Summer of Concerts
Over the last few months, several of The Cruise Web’s employees had a chance to take in some live music courtesy of Carnival Cruise Lines. The “Summer Concert Series,” as it’s become known around the office, kicked off in June when Kathy Donnelly, Business Development Director for Carnival Cruise Lines, dropped off a few tickets to see the Rascal Flatts. The tickets were offered in appreciation for the long relationship between The Cruise Web and Carnival. Little did we know that they were just the first of many… [Read more →]

The Cruise Web Wins Team Relay at Baltimore Marathon
Err, to be more accurate, The Cruise Web won 313th place in the Mixed Team Relay at last weekend’s Baltimore Running Festival – but we’re no less proud.
Karolina kicked things off with a gutsy run through Baltimore’s challenging Druid Hills. She then handed off to Seth who wound his way back through the city to the halfway point. Desiree took over from there and turned in another fantastic split to set up the relay’s final leg. Yossi had the anchor leg and did an excellent job finishing strong and doing the company proud!
