Cruise Web Director Attends Oceania Marina Inaugural Celebration
The Cruise Web’s Director of Finance and Human Resources, Don Dean, recently returned from an inaugural celebration aboard Oceania’s newest ship, Marina. The inaugural cruise departed on February 5th out of Miami and, well, why don’t we just let Don tell you himself…
“My wife and I had the privilege of being a part of Marina’s gala inauguration and preview cruise. Marina, the newest addition to Oceania’s fleet, is simply gorgeous. The wonderful woods, the marvelous marbles, and the awesome artwork along with the stunning grand staircase used to decorate Marina almost lull you into thinking that you are at a five star resort. However, the fantastic view from the staterooms’ private verandas and the comfortable 12th deck pool area with the ocean breezes remind that you are truly on a cruise ship. [Read more →]

Health, Wellness and Wine
By Rosalind Smith, Business Development Manager.
The Cruise Web, Inc.
Themed cruises are an integration of lifestyle, hobbies or special interests and cruising. The list of themes is endless and includes health and fitness, every genre of music, games, tournaments, ballroom dancing, singles, and food & wine – the latter of which I had a chance to experience like never before during my “Zinners in Paradise” themed cruise.
“Zinners in Paradise” remains one of my all-time favorite cruises. As a long-time wine enthusiast, I was delighted with anticipation to set sail aboard the Paul Gauguin to indulge in the integration of robust red zinfandels and the tropical islands of Tahiti. This was heaven on earth for any wine loving beach bum! [Read more →]

Theme Cruising
By Sherry Jefferson, Cruise Consultant, The Cruise Web, Inc.
Theme cruising is a way to bring together people who share common interests, hobbies and passions, and combine it with the cruise experience. A theme cruise is an excellent way to meet others who share your interests and passion on a particular subject. Most groups dine together at dinner time, so you’ll have a chance to really get to know others in the group.
What is a Theme Cruise?
Theme cruises can take many forms, but are usually a “regular” cruise with enhanced or additional programming onboard. This programming can run the gamut from seminars, to classroom style sessions, to hands-on learning sessions, to concerts or dance themes – the possibilities are endless. Themed programming typically takes place on board the ship, but sometimes the events will take place in port to coincide with an event taking place there. Examples of that might be the Grand Prix in Monte Carlo, the Chelsea Flower show, or Jazz in the Norwegian Fjords. [Read more →]
