The Yachts of Seabourn recognized The Cruise Web for its outstanding performance in 2009 by again designating The Cruise Web a member of The Yachts of Seabourn’s Pinnacle Club.

The Yachts of Seabourn is a luxury cruise line that operates six yacht-like vessels that sail as few as 208 guests to some of the most desirable destinations on earth.

The 2009 membership marks the third consecutive year that The Cruise Web has been part of the Pinnacle Club as membership had been awarded to The Cruise Web in 2007 and 2008.

The Cruise Web is honored to again be awarded the membership which The Yachts of Seabourn commemorated with a framed and dated certificate of membership.

Get ready for some rock and roll! Norwegian Cruise Line announced that the first three “legends” to perform as part of the Legends in Concert show on Norwegian Epic will be three of the world’s best-known entertainers – Madonna, Elvis and Tina Turner. A staple on the Las Vegas’ center strip for over 25 years, Legends in Concert is known as the pioneer of live tribute shows and has assembled the greatest collection of live tribute artists and celebrity look-alikes in show business.

“Where else outside Las Vegas could you see three of the world’s top entertainment legends – Madonna, Elvis and Tina Turner- all on stage together?” said Kevin Sheehan, Norwegian Cruise Line’s chief executive officer. “Norwegian Epic is taking cruise ship entertainment to an entirely new level and these tribute artists appeal to music fans of all ages, making this a must-see show for our guests.” [Read more →]

The all-suite, all-balcony Seven Seas Voyager of Regent Seven Seas Cruises has been voted the cruise ship with the best food and dining room service by members of the prestigious World Ocean & Cruise Liner Society for the second year in a row.

According to the society, when choosing a cruise, “the category of food is often at the top of everyone’s list of importance.” When voting, their members considered food taste, quality and presentation.

Equally important is dining room service. Ships were considered based on the following six criteria (1) ample staff to ensure that there are no long delays in serving, (2) promptness in responding to special requests, (3) ability of the staff to communicate and explain the menu, (4) the staff’s ability to remember guest preferences, (5) promptness in serving, replacing utensils as needed, and (6) general attitude and friendliness of the staff.
