Fancy or casual, you can choose how you want to dine on Royal Caribbean's ships. If you feel like staying casual, enjoy the Windjammer Café, which features a diverse selection of food served buffet style. For those looking to be served, sit down to dinner in the main dining room where your waiter is there to wait on you hand and foot, from scooting your chair out for you to pouring the hot water for your post dinner tea.
For those looking for the traditional, having dinner at the main dining room with an assigned time will give you the ability to become friends with your table mates and have a waiter that always knows your preferences. For those looking for a little more flexibility, Royal Caribbean has a program called "My Time Dining" where you can make reservations for dinner in the main dining room anytime between 6 and 9:30 p.m.
Of course, the ships offer plenty of other options, like the specialty restaurants. Some restaurants charge an extra fee up front, while others are completely free. The food options are many, ranging from exotic foods like sushi from Jade Sushi, to snack foods like hot dogs from Boardwalk Dog House. These specialty-dining venues really do provide a wonderful treat for celebrating a wonderful vacation or a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary. Some of the most innovative specialty restaurants are the Samba Grill Brazilian Steakhouse, available on the Allure and Radiance of the Seas, and 150 Central Park on the Oasis and Allure of the Seas.
