Royal Caribbean Youth Programs

A cruise with Royal Caribbean is a vacation where the whole family is engaged. Where you and your children, no matter their age, will have a vacation where they see new sites, make new memories and maybe even learn something new. Royal Caribbean has a comprehensive and engaging set of youth programs for teens through toddlers. Each ship has a bright and bold youth center onboard where children will find lots of toys and activities to keep them entertained (take a look at the pictures below). The staff running the ship's youth programs are college graduates with specialties in education, recreation or other related fields. Here is an overview of the programs, broken down by age group:

Royal Babies - This program is geared toward 6- to 18-month-old children onboard. These programs are meant for these young children and their parents to spend time together. They are interactive classes designed by childhood experts at Fischer-Price.

Royal Tots - For children from 18 to 36 months old, Royal Caribbean offers a series of 45-minute play sessions, where mom and dad spend time with the kids who are given access to toys and age-appropriate activities. Activities include Crayola Beginnings Workshops, Fun on the Farm and Pirates and Princesses.

Aquanauts - This program is designed to keep the curious kids who are between the ages of 3 and 5 exploring. The programs included for this age group feature Adventure Theater by Camp Broadway, fun science experiments with an emphasis on dinosaurs and sea creatures, along with lots of story times. This program also includes activities on Royal Caribbean's private islands, CocoCay in the Bahamas and Labadee in Haiti.

Explorers - The 6- to 8-year-olds on the ship can participate in this program, which takes many of the programs from the Aquanauts and turns the dial up a notch. There will be fun science explorations and arts and crafts projects, as well as dancing, games and an ice cream party. This program includes activities on Royal Caribbean's two private islands, CocoCay in the Bahamas and Labadee in Haiti.

Voyagers - This program is for 9- to 11-year-olds and again continues and expands on the programs for the younger children. These older children will be learning about meteorology, creating major art projects and playing lots of games as they interact with one another. This program also features activities on Royal Caribbean's private islands, CocoCay in the Bahamas and Labadee in Haiti.

Tweens and Teens are also invited to come to the youth center, where there are a number of fun activities for them to participate in, from dodge ball and a DJ Academy to improv games. These activities are scheduled throughout the day and teens may drop in whenever they please. The teen-only dance club is open every night from 10 pm to 2 am.
