Royal Caribbean designs their ships to WOW. That wow comes not only in the size and style of their ships, but in the programs and features they offer on board. Royal Caribbean has been on the cutting edge of ship design for years, introducing climbing walls, zip lines and ice skating rinks to the sea, making sure your experience onboard will be equally exhilarating as your experience in port.
During daytime hours you can work up a sweat in a fun exercise class or by taking a jog around the track, but you can also put up your dukes and step into a boxing ring, rent a pair of roller skates to see how far the ocean breeze can take you, or play a game of basketball on the sports court. Some ships have FlowRiders, where you can practice your surfing skills, or put on a sweater to go ice-skating.
Of course if you want to relax there are plenty activities for that as well, the most popular being lounging on the pool deck or going for a swim. Most Royal Caribbean ships also have an indoor pool in the area known as the Solarium. Here you can enjoy some piece and quiet or possibly stroll into the spa for a massage, facial or manicure. Next to the spa is the salon where you can schedule a haircut or make up application. For those looking for a little enrichment, there will be a number of classes and lectures available, and the library offers a spot for you to sit in a comfy chair and cuddle up to a good book.
At night the ship becomes a whole different place, but there are still tons of activities to participate in. For those looking to live it up, each ship has a number of lounges and bars and the dance floors will start to get active after dinner is served. There are also a number of late night game shows and, of course, who can forget karaoke. For those looking to sit back, you can see one of the Broadway productions in the theater or enjoy the fresh air while viewing a movie on the pool deck's big screen.
