- WHAT YOU VISIT
Ceramics Kiln - Your foray into Japanese ceramics begins with a tour of either the Genemon or Shingama kilns. Genemon is renowned for contemporary ceramics that blend modern sensibility with traditional technique. Observe traditional artisans at work.
Arita - The streets of this quiet mountain town are lined with white-walled houses dating from the 1930s. The rear areas of these houses are decorated with Tonbai fences made of used bricks and old-fashioned potteries. The small gallery hosts a choice selection of local ceramics.
Peace Memorial Park - On August 9, 1945, Nagasaki became the second city to suffer a nuclear attack. Peace Memorial Park is located near Ground Zero, the center of the blast, and is home to a memorial fountain and the 30-foot-high 'Statue of Peace'.

Passengers are required to negotiate steps and uneven surfaces in Arita and at Peace Memorial Park. Not recommended for passengers with limited mobility. Wear comfortable, sturdy walking shoes.
