The former colony is home to Baroque churches and an exotic blend of Portuguese and Chinese cultures. Visit the ruins of St. Paul Cathedral and explore Macau's history at the Macau Museum. Take in the views atop the Macau Sky Tower and visit the A-Ma Temple, dedicated to the goddess who gave Macau its name.
- WHAT YOU VISIT
St. Paul Cathedral - Macau's most famous building is St. Paul Cathedral designed by an Italian Jesuit and built in the early 17th century. Only the fa'ade remains as the interior was destroyed by fire during a typhoon in 1835.
The Museum of Macau - The museum which traces Macau's history from its colonial heyday to the present is home to a vast collection of cultural and historic art, artifacts, and memorabilia.
A Ma Temple - Chinese fishermen erected this shrine to the goddess A Ma or Tin Hau. The Portuguese settlers named their city after her.
- SHOPPING
Browse for souvenirs among the vendors at St. Paul Cathedral and in the gift shop at the museum.
- LUNCH
A buffet lunch is served in the revolving restaurant on the 60th floor of the Macau Sky Tower - the 10th-tallest tower in the world offers spectacular views.
- WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Your motorcoach will take you from the pier in Kowloon for the short transfer to Macau Ferry Terminal. Board a turbo-jet vessel for the approximately one-hour voyage to Macau, enjoying views of Cheung Chau and Lantau islands en route.
