Tianjin City Tour

    Visit the nearby city of Tianjin, one of the four municipalities of China, to the traditional temple house and cultural streets. Visit the Tianjin Museum for its history and art relics.
  • WHAT YOU VISIT
    Confucius Temple - The third-largest temple in the country dedicated to Master Kongzi - referred to in the West as Confucius. During much of the imperial era of Chinese history, the teachings and ritual practices of Confucianism occupied a privileged status in the education and training of the men who served in the civil bureaucracy.
    Tianjin Museum - A combination of the former Tianjin Art Museum and Historical Museum. Housing 150,000 pieces of historical and cultural relics, this museum tells the history of Tianjin and surrounding areas.
    Shi Family Mansion - Home to the Shi Family when it was constructed in 1875. Occupying an area of 6 hectares, the mansion, which now houses the Tianjin Folk Arts Museum, is composed of 12 courtyards all in Chinese traditional quadrangle style with a long paved path leading to all yards from the front gate. Its brick, wood and stone carvings are among the best in north China.

    Ancient Culture Street - A place to sample the cultural traditions of China. The street is lined with Chinese style buildings and numerous shops for souvenirs and arts & crafts.

    A family style Chinese lunch will be served in a local hotel restaurant.
