Board a deluxe motorcoach and travel through Keystone Canyon, a narrow break in the Chugach Mountains and home to spectacular waterfalls, exceptional geology and fascinating history. Capture the stunning sights of Bridal Veil Falls and Horsetail Falls cascading from the canyon walls high above. As you make the ascent to Thompson Pass, glimpse the site where the famous Trans-Alaska pipeline runs below ground

At the summit be amazed by the untouched beauty of this alpine setting. Just over the pass is Worthington Glacier. The glacier descends from Girls Mountain, passing within a few feet of the parking lot and viewing shelter. View the blue ice of this hanging glacier located near the snowiest place in Alaska. High alpine tundra, glacial landscape and a spectacular view of the grand valley make this an excellent area for photography.

On your return drive, pass the site of old town Valdez, completely destroyed in the 1964 earthquake. A brief visit to a salmonspawning stream (in season) is also included. At the conclusion of your tour, you may return to the ship or visit downtown Valdez.

Fish for pink and silver salmon from an enclosed, luxury vessel skippered by a U.S. Coast Guard-licensed captain. Pinks are fun to catch and silvers are the most favored by locals. Some of the most unpredictable fish in Alaska waters, silvers are known for their feisty temper, laborious fights and great taste fresh from the grill. If you wish, your catch can be processed locally and shipped to your home for an additional charge. Princess regrets that we are not allowed to store your fish onboard.

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive through Keystone Canyon with spectacular waterfalls, intriguing geology and fascinating history. At Lowe River, gear up, board your raft and let your experienced guide steer you through 900-foot rock cliffs and scenic views. Lowe River is Class III water with moderate rapids and irregular waves, so be prepared to get splashed. Magnificent waterfalls cascade to the river's edge, making the view from the water something you will never forget. Everything you need for your whitewater adventure is provided on this four-and-a-half mile river adventure.

Experienced guides greet you and provide a basic kayaking and safety class. Next, board a two- or three-person sea kayak that offers stability and an easy ride even for first-time paddlers. Your guides lead you along the coastline and through a chain of islands known for nesting birds, wildflowers and as a popular haul-out for harbor seals. Paddle into the depths of Duck Flats as you enjoy the discussions of natural history and the history of Valdez.
