Enjoy fishing in two salmon-rich rivers on Kodiak Island.
Depart on a scenic drive to your first location and don hip boots before entering the water. Fish a variety of styles, depending on your experience and desire. Spin fishing, bait casting and egg drifting are all recognized and acceptable techniques in the local streams and rivers. Whether a novice or expert, local guides assist you in the catch of a lifetime.
Enjoy a picnic-style lunch before moving on to your second fishing location. The amount of time spent on each river depends on the fishing conditions. Photo opportunities of sealife abound at both sites. Your catch can be processed locally and shipped to your home for an additional charge. Princess regrets that we are not allowed to store your fish onboard.
Guides provide you with a photo of your catch and a souvenir ball cap to take home and show your friends. Kodiak Island is truly a fishing paradise.
SPECIAL NOTES
Guests should be able to walk over uneven ground. Dress warmly in layers and an extra pair of socks is recommended. Hip boots are available; please notify the Tour Office to reserve a pair in your size. A fishing license is required and can be purchased from your guide for $20 cash per person. When king salmon is targeted, a $10 per person additional retention tag is required. Please refer to page 18 in the 2009 Alaska Adventures Ashore Brochure for important information about fishing methods and licensing fees. This tour is available to Pacific Princess passengers only.
Liability waiver is required to be signed in the presence of the tour operator.
Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
