Take the wheel of a four-wheel drive Kawasaki "Mule" and get ready for a real Alaska wilderness adventure on the Takshanuk Mountain Trail.
A short transfer brings you to the Takshanuk ("land of falling waters") trailhead. Learn how to operate your automatic-transmission, four-wheel-drive vehicle. The mules are equipped with seat belts and are designed to be easily accessible, allowing guests of all ages and abilities to experience the thrill of being in the breathtaking wilderness. Beautiful waterfalls and crystal-clear creeks are part of the natural scenery that greets you on your way to meadows at the 1,500-foot elevation. Spectacular views of mountains and forests abound, including a panoramic look at the Lynn Canal and Chilkoot Lake. On the way down, stop at an exclusive mountaintop lodge to enjoy a warm fire and delicious lunch of halibut or chicken. After descending the rest of the trail, board a motorcoach for a tour through historic Fort William H. Seward before returning to your ship.

SPECIAL NOTES
Guests wishing to drive must be at least 21 years old and bring a valid driver's license. Each mule accommodates four guests, but can be extended to five to keep groups together. Vegetarian meal is available. Please notify Tour Office onboard at least 24 hours prior to tour. The Kawasaki Mules are easily accessible and have storage for oxygen tanks and collapsible wheelchairs. Guests must be able to take steps on and off the modes of transportation. This tour is only available on the Sea Princess voyages departing 7/3/09 and 7/23/09.
Liability waiver is required to be signed in the presence of the tour operator.
Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
