Chilkoot Lake Freshwater Fishing

    Spend a day fishing amidst the magnificent beauty of Chilkoot Lake - a summertime haven for bald eagles.

    Enjoy a scenic 20-minute drive to Chilkoot Lake, one of the most picturesque locations in southeast Alaska. Your fishing expedition begins aboard a comfortable, 28-foot pontoon boat. Depending on the season, several varieties of wild salmon and Dolly Varden are the likely catches. Every fisher is in control of their own spin-cast rod and reel. There is a maximum of six guests per boat and the tour operator is the only company on the lake so no crowds here! Your experienced guide assists with everything from new fishing methods to untangling your lines while you relax and absorb the grandeur of the surrounding snow-clad mountains. Fishing is conducted on a catch-and-release basis.

    SPECIAL NOTES
    Rubber-soled shoes and warm clothing are recommended. Minimum age is 6. A fishing license is required and can be purchased onboard your boat for $20 per person. When king salmon is targeted, a $10 per person additional retention tag is required. Children under 16 are not required to purchase a license. Please refer to page 18 in the 2009 Alaska Adventures Ashore Brochure for additional important information about fishing methods and licensing fees. This tour is only available on the Sea Princess voyages departing 7/3/09 and 7/23/09.
    Liability waiver is required to be signed in the presence of the tour operator.
    Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
