Tour: Essence Of Provence - Lourmarin & Roussillon
Explore one of the most beautiful natural sites in Provence, the Luberon range. This region is full of charm including striking solitary woods, rocky countryside, picturesque old hilltop villages. Unexpected panoramas meet the traveler at every twist of the road. Visit the Chateau of Lourmarin which was the first Renaissance castle built in Provence. It is found in a village classified as one of the most beautiful in France and a well known cultural center where many cultural activities take place throughout the year - Roussillon, one of the prettiest villages of the Luberon range. Roussillon stands on an unusual site, a cliff composed of fairly tight yellow, red and white sands combined with ferruginous sandstones and ores. The village's small squares and narrow alleys are sublime in their colors: the ochres of the facades, the trompe-l'oeil (optical illusion) of a window, the colored-flowered balconies. Enjoy lunch on your own in one of the small cafes and restaruants.
Note: Tour involves walking for approximately 3 1/2 hours on uneven ground and cobblestone, with approximately 30 steps in Lourmarin Castle. Not recommended for guests who are wheelchair confined or with limited mobility. Public restrooms are available at both Lourmarin Castle and Roussillon. This tour will only be available for guests sailing on the Norwegian Epic April 25th, 2012 sailing

Tour: Camargue - Arles & Stes Maries De La Mer
Lightened colors, cold mistral wind, dry summers and the waters of the Rhone delta had their influence in this flat country. Gypsies, black bulls, white horses are present everywhere, also in the colorful festivals of Arles. Discover the amazing town of Arles as did the eyes of the Painter Van Gogh, who painted here more than 200 of his masterpieces. Rich with tradition and full of a glorious Roman past, this town shows how modern life can be mixed up with historical monuments. The Corrida takes place every year in the Roman arenas and the Romanesque masterpiece Cloister St. Trophime is always representing the rich and refined Provencal religious past. After a guided tour and some time at leisure, you'll continue through the rice fields of Carmargue to Saintes Maries de la Mer, a little seaside village which has grown in the last couple of years to an animated tourist town with arenas, little port, craft shops. Saintes Maries is also a wonderful place to be with children. You can hire a four-wheel cycle, go for a horse ride, spend time at the beach or just take in some nature. After an enjoyable leisure time, you'll drive back to your ship.
Note: Tour involves walking for approximately 3 hours on level ground. Not recommended for guests who are wheelchair confined. Public restrooms are available at both Arles and Saintes Maries
