Discover the local customs and trades of Mazatlan's countryside.
On this excursion you will:
- Begin with a one-hour motor coach ride from the pier to the village of La Vinata.
- Visit the tequila factory and see the antique distillery.
- Learn the methods used to manufacture and age tequila.
- After sampling the tequila, reboard your motor coach and drive to La Noria.
- Visit both the saddles and sandals workshops. See the San Anotnio de Padua Church.
- Visit a colonial home for complimentary refreshments and locally-made cheese and tortilla snacks.
- Stop at an oceanfront restaurant for a traditional Mexican lunch ride back to Mazatlan.
- Continue to the Golden Zone where you can browse the shops before returning to your ship.

On this excursion you will:
- Learn why these rugged and mountains are abundant in history, and have become the subject of many myths and legends.
- Visit a brickyard where adobe bricks are made and fired, much as they have been for centuries.
- Next visit the village of Malpica where you will stop at a floor tile factory and sample freshly-baked cookies at the local bakery.
- Afterwards, visit a home where colonial furniture and clay pottery are made by hand.
- Continue to the town of Concordia and visit San Sebastian, an 18th century church with a baroque-style facade, and enjoy a
- complimentary refreshment at a local restaurant, before making your way on to the town of Copala.
- Learn this once thriving Spanish gold mining town will delight you with cobblestone streets, colonial homes, and the impressive San Jose Church.
- Enjoy a Mexican lunch in Copala before your return trip to Mazatlan's Golden Zone for some shopping, and then back to your ship.

Spend your day on Deer Island, a 100-acre secluded and uninhabited nature preserve one mile off the coast of Pacific Mexico.
On this excursion you will:
- Learn that Deer Island is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sea of Cortez Islands Reserve, which includes more than 900 islands.
- Board a double-decker, dual-hull boat for a 40-minute sail across the bay to Deer Island.
- Arrive at a beautiful white sandy beach where you can swim, lay in the sun, or enjoy a game of volleyball.
- Enjoy the highlight of your excursion, a 45-minute kayak trip to explore the island�s protected side and see amazing rock formations, wildlife and a small cove. Choose to hike with your guide up an easy trail for amazing views of Mazatlan.
- Proceed back to the beach to reboard the boat for your return to the wharf; on your return journey, there will be an optional drop off in the Golden Zone for guests wishing to shop or you may return directly to your ship.

This spectacular Robert Trent Jones Jr. championship course is thought of as one of the best golf courses in all of Mexico, and respected by some of golfs top players. The course is designed on two miles of unspoiled coastline with the rolling surf visible from every hole. The back nine is the most spectacular, as the 13th and 14th holes parallel a river as you head toward the sea. With the prevailing wind in your face and water hazards protecting the golf course, even the best golfers will be in for a very challenging day!
