A popular destination along Alaska's famed Inside Passage, Ketchikan is teeming with Native American culture. Home of the largest concentration of Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian people in the state this extraordinarily beautiful city on Revillagigedo Island boasts the world's largest collection of totem poles, and an equally impressive selection of museums and cultural centers featuring Native dance, carving and artifacts. Ketchikan's calm waters and surprisingly gentle climate make it a favorite of sports fishermen.

Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show

In the early 1900s, Alaska's timber industry was booming. Rugged frontier lumberjacks toiled at work each day in one of North America's most grueling environments to harvest timber for our growing nation. From remote logging camps up and down the coast of southeast Alaska, you could hear the pounding of the axe, the singing of the crosscut saw, and the cry of "Timber!" Hardy lumberjacks would gather each summer in the sawmill town of Ketchikan to compete against rival logging camps. These fit, rugged men fought hard to take home the bragging rights of becoming the King of the Woods. Today these legends live on at The Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show. The stands are heated and covered from any rain that may decide to fall. The time frame on this tour gives you the opportunity to either take another tour or enjoy your day in Ketchikan. Please Note: Make sure you see the SPECIAL OFFER in your order form on board the vessel. Approximately 1 1/2 hours.
